November 8th, 2007 was when the Werewolf was released -- otherwise known as Fedora 8. I've updated to the Werwolf without any problems. This upgrade went rather smoothly. I have posted Unleashing the WereWolf(Fedora 8) - my observations about Fedora 8.
I've finally decided to run a website dealing with Linux. Awhile back, I made the switch over to running Linux as my OS for my home system. There were actually a lot of reasons that lead me to that change especially since I teach at an institution that uses Windows for just about every class -- though I teach a Unix class there that uses Linux so students can do their assignments at home.
A little about me: I have been teaching at the University level Mathematics and Computer Science since 1987. Since 1997, I have been working with Linux. I started with Slackware Linux and then moved onto RedHat Linux back then. During the years, I have tried the main packages out there. My preference these days is Fedora which I am running Fedora 7 on my computer now.
One thing to know about this site is that I plan on keeping the pages "low tech". This is going to be mostly a pure content site where I want to keep things as bandwidth friendly as possible.
